Grief stricken after losing their child, a husband and wife attempt to salvage their marriage by starting over in a new town. This all changes suddenly as the wife undergoes a series of transformations after being attacked by a creature in the surrounding woods. As the body count rises, the husband unknowingly investigates his own wife while she struggles to control the beast growing inside her.
